We're moving to Skyline College!

Dear CPC North,

In our worship services we've been singing a wonderful new song, I Will Follow. I'm convinced the words to the chorus is our theme song this summer,

Where You go, I'll go

Where You stay, I'll stay

When You move, I'll move,

I will follow You

Who You love, I'll love

How You serve I'll serve

If this life I lose, I will follow You

I will follow You

This worship song is fantastic to sing to the Lord; it's much more difficult to actually live it! Thankfully, the Lord is asking us to trust and follow Him again.

On Sunday, August 28, we will begin holding worship services temporarily in the theatre of Skyline College in San Bruno.

We are very excited about this temporary move. Skyline College is only one mile from Pen/Crest High School and the theatre at Skyline is an amazing, state-of-the-art facility. We believe the experience of our worship services will be taken to another level. The only set-up we'll need to do will be our nursery, children's ministries and hospitality areas.

There are two reasons for the move:

  1. As part of the conditional use permit process, the City of San Bruno wants to complete an environmental impact study at the Pen/Crest campus. We were hoping to navigate around this requirement, but we cannot.
  2. The Mills High School auditorium will begin their remodel on August 28. If all continues to go well with our permit process, we should be in our new location at Pen/Crest on Sunday, October 9. Pray for that!

Our staff and elders really appreciate your flexibility and commitment to "making and maturing more followers of Christ" in the north of the Peninsula.

Onward,

Rob Hall

North Campus Pastor

Nursery/Kindergarten Update

Hello CPCNorth Families with nursery through kindergarten aged children,

I hope you are having a fantastic summer. Our summer has been filled with learning to ride bicycles, swimming, and trips to the park.

This is just a friendly location update on the Mills High School campus. The Nursery through Kindergarten classes will be relocating back to our original place. Yes, indeed. This means that the courtyard will be reopened and rooms 141/142 (Nursery/Toddlers) and Hallway (PreK/K) will be our "home" for the next couple of weeks.

Have a great week and I will look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Love,
Kian Kawar
Nursery through Kindergarten Coordinator
