August Guest Reception

MB GR Aug 15 Invite.jpgSunday, August 15, is our next Guest Reception. For those who are new to CPC (or feel new), we invite you to attend. This is a good opportunity to meet the Elders and Pastors of CPC and for them to get to know you as well!

Campus Picnic

What’s a summer without a good ole’ fashioned church picnic? After the Sunday service on July 25, we’ll come together for fellowship, fun, family, and food.

1pm

Millbrae’s Central Park

Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, a salad or desert for 10 and your own drinks. We’ll supply the hamburgers, hotdogs and the fun.

This is a great opportunity to invite your family and friends to get to know our church campus. Please email Sandy McGreevy at smcgreevy@cpcfc.org to RSVP for the event and if you can help set-up. Hope you will join us!

Prayer and Fasting

Oswald Chambers once said that, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, it is the greater work.” I believe that and I am convinced that there are some things the Lord just won’t do until we ask Him in prayer. One of our desires is to put our teaching series on prayer in action by praying and fasting. The plan is to begin fasting on Saturday morning July 17 and end the fast on Sunday morning July 18.You might consider fasting from one particular thing (soda, sweets, etc.) or from food all together. Throughout the day pray over the list we provide below. Then at our volunteer community meeting on Sunday morning, July 18 at 9:15 in the faculty lounge, we’ll pray and eat breakfast together. I hope you will join us this week as our campus seeks the Lord in prayer and in fasting. Here are a few things to pray:

  • Hiring of a worship director
  • Finding and securing a permanent facility
  • Current staff (Rob, Ben, Gina, Sandy, Kian, and Win)
  • For favor and greater impact in the northern Peninsula
  • Wisdom and leadership for our Elders
  • For our Sunday services and current ministries
  • Strength and power for our current volunteers
  • That the Lord would “add to our numbers daily” and continue to bring us the lost
  • Maturity in faith for the Body
  • That new people would connect to our church community
  • That the Lord would add new leaders to our ministries
  • Spiritual growth in families

Set Up/Take Down Help Needed Sunday, April 18

On Sunday, our Set Up and Take Down teams will be really short-handed. Your help is needed. No special skills are required. This is a great opportunity for you to see how we transform Mills High School into CPC Millbrae. Your help will be greatly appreciated to set up before service or take down after the service. Arrive at 8:00 am for set-up. This is not for men only. Ladies we can use your help to set out the little toy items from the boxes in the Nursery area and Preschool/ Kindergarten classes in the hallway or put them away. If you can stay to help with the Take Down, come to the Information Table for an assignment. Peter Sun will be in charge for the day. Any questions contact Peter at pytsun@gmail.com
